Пресс-конференция: «Жаркий октябрь Ночных Снайперов»

On October, 15 the press conference of Diana Arbenina, the leader of The Night Snipers rock-band, took place at National News Service press centre. She has told the journalists about the new album, concert tour schedule and the number of her own projects.

NSN website has promptly published several statements of Diana Arbenina interview.

“Deputies are always solving something; they are always taken up with something. I am not involved in politics. There are other institutions to deal with it. There are many other issues in our country that need to be solved such as pensioners’ social care. Talking about the concerts’ promoters, I don’t want the concert activity we have now to decline. Russia is experiencing an awful economic crisis now. People in our country, I am not talking about Moscow and St. Petersburg, can not afford themselves to go to the concerts, because they don’t have money.”

“I keep in mind the following people I want to be the guests of my following radio programmes on Nashe Radio - Eugene Mironov and Yuri Bashmet. I’d like to invite girls, there are many interesting girls, pursuing the art. So, if I continue to speak on the list of the guests, I will reveal the intrigue, on the other hand if I tell about the guests and for some reasons they will not have the opportunity to come to my programme, people will say: “But you promised…” I am really waiting for Konstantin Khabensky to be the guest of “Posledniy geroy”.

“For a long time I have been thinking that it is hard to give an interview… And now, when I'm interviewing people I understand how hard it is - you have to be a psychologist. How to get to the core issue of a person and how not to offend a person. To interview people is harder than answering the questions. It is also difficult to moderate. It is necessary to stop yourself. I want live broadcasts, but the programme goes on Wednesdays and I can’t be in Moscow every Wednesday, because of children and concert touring…”

“I was forbidden to give concerts, to go on concert tour in autumn of 2014. By that time the song “Istoriya” had been already written. There is a phrase “the dogs are barking but I don’t care” in it. The song was written in summer of 2014 when I messed up the passports and couldn’t go on vacation. The song is amazing and it predicted the situation of fall of 2014. “The dogs bark, but the caravan moves on”.

“The following book is going to be written. On October, 30 there will be the meeting with Vera Polozkova in St. Petersburg. Maybe after that I will mature to write a new book”.

“I always wanted to help visually impaired people. I always have been thinking that they know much more than I. after all, sometimes, sight can distract you”.

“I don’t think that I am an actress and I am able to make the theatrical career. I perform the part of Bagheera because I want to help, it is charityI wasn’t meant to act on the theatre stage professionally. You can’t be good at everything. To be good at everything means to be good at nothing. Now I am involved in differentprojects, I am hurrying all the time and thinking to myself – “When will it be the end of this and I will be able to go somewhere?” But, I haven’t decided yet – where I want to go. Sometimes I have a dream that I am sitting somewhere in the mountains and writing the novel. It is unrealizable dream…”

“Sorry, but I don’t watch Junior Eurovision Song Contest. It disgusts me when children paint their nails, do make up. There should be a great sense of harmony in it. Talking about the music in the country, the voices and the things people want to say, it is necessary to admit that at first I thought that the situation was much worse. But I really like the casting of musicians to “Glavnaya scena” TV show. I want to find a person and tell him or her that he or she is a person of natural gifts and help this person to understand it. There were such people in this TV show, of course. If you are talented, you have to be a workaholic”.

“Together with Bashmet we have expanded our concert programme. Last year winter, in Sochi we performed our first joint concert. There was a time when everybody wanted to perform together with symphony orchestras, but I felt sick of it and I thought I would never do in future. When I met Yuri Bashmet I realized that he was a person with rock-n-roll spirit. We are going to rehearse the programme in the end of November - not earlier - because our schedules don’t coincide at all. We have already expanded the concert programme, perhaps, we will also manage to perform “Brahms”.

“Last year I said goodbye to band’s keyboardists, solo guitar player as well as to one more person from the staff. There was a period when The Night Snipers were touring around the same cities all the time. We perform our music before Russian people who live in different countries. We gave concerts in many European countries, including the cities of Paris and Amsterdam. We did it for the first time. Why can’t we play the concerts in Dubai, Japan or China, for example? The musician should be willing to perform all over the world. Tomorrow, I am going to Surgut”.

“I am not going to appropriate different professions, degrees and ranks to myself. Khabensky called me and asked if I wanted to play a part of Bagheera. I said: “Yes! But how?” Konstantin is a great enthusiast. He develops in people the sense of beauty. The first “Mowgli Generation” performance was presented to the audience in St. Petersburg. Today we are going to perform it in Moscow. Initially, Ekaterina Guseva was invited to play a part of Bagheera, but today I perform this part. The role of Bagheera appeared spontaneously. The most important thing is to learn the role. I am not used to learn the text, which was written not by me but someone else”.

“Bagheera is a good role, I do not have to “break” myself. This is a play about teenagers and for teenagers. It is a concrete jungle, it is the constant traffic jams. I am pretty modern Bagheera. I was allowed to leave my hair colour. They took for granted that fact that sometimes I can be pretty sharp while the cats are smooth. We get on well with kids and as a result everything turns out to be good in acting on the stage. Sometimes, children prompt me when I forget my lines”.
